For me, photography is a way to slow down and pay closer attention to the world around me.  The things I look for with my camera in hand -- light, color, line -- are always present but often ignored when I move through the world at my normal pace.

My photographic interests are eclectic.  I started out thinking I was going to be a "landscape photographer" but my attention keeps drifting.  My current interests encompass not only landscape photography but also macro and close-up photography, architectural subjects, and the urban environment.  I particularly enjoy photographing abandoned buildings and places to find visual stories in things left behind.  Photographic techniques such as long exposure and monochrome processing allow me to reveal aspects of my subjects that are not always obvious to the eye.   You will find  all of these interests exemplified in my galleries.
